This is tragic! My brother gave me a NIB Wild One while I was in Iraq. I have had it since 2004, and I kept in indoors in my closet. About 2 weeks ago I started building it. Skid, I'm heartbroken! The car is falling appart. All the metal gears have crubbled, and the chassis is cracking in some spots and crubling in others. I've never seen anything like it. This kit was strait out of Japan, with all japaniese instructions. What do you think happened to it? Is it just old, or is this the result of poor storage? Please, let us all know so tragedies like this can be avoided. Thanks!
The wise one answers:
OH MY GOD!! That's such a shame! I've heard of rubber perishing and yes, i've seen some plastics crack etc. But never this bad! It must have been stored badly. Severe temp changes? New chassis are very hard to come by as well. Hope you get shorted.
