Hi prof - I have a new-ish Grasshopper here with a lot of play in each axle (you can move 'em in and out by 1-2mm each side). I tried a 0.5mm washer between the bevel gears and bearing on each side but surprisingly all it did was make the gearbox graunchy. Aside from the play it runs smoothly. Should I just leave well alone? |
